The journal deals with specific human being-centric topics, mainly targeting biotechnologies and bioinformatics, eHealth and telemedicine, knowledge acquiring and representation, and advanced techniques for electronic learning.

More focused topics may concern bioelectronics, computational neurosciences, molecular and cellular biology, marine&oceanic biotechnologies, bio-image processing, bioengineering, different kind of telemedicine services and applications,  special human-centric services, human-oriented anticipative systems and computing, and hybrid, adaptive or virtual mobile learning.
